Yoga – Beginners/All Levels

Ages: All Ages

Level: Beginners/All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Description: Hatha Yoga uses postures (Asanas) and stretches in combination with the breath to develop flexibility and relaxation. There are many styles of Hatha Yoga. Some use a specific series of postures, others use a flow of movements, while some may use props such as blocks or belts to assist a posture or maximize a stretch. All styles of Hatha Yoga, however, encourage proper alignment of the body and bring balance, strength and calmness to the practitioner. Our unique Hatha Yoga classes encourages a style that flows and it integrates breath, Asanas and traditional elements to bring balance and strength to the mind, body and spirit.





Yoga - Restorative

Ages: All Ages

Level: All levels
(Geared towards those recovering from injury or illness)

Style:Drop-in


Description: This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. The class will use props to support the postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body. This class is appropriate for students of all levels, but is geared towards those recovering from injury or illness. Further, this class is done with minimal to no 'weight bearing' poses and a variety of modifications are offered to ensure that everyone can enjoy the benefits of the class.




Cosmic Yoga – Beginners/All Levels

Ages: All Ages

Level: Beginners/All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Style:Drop-in


Description: We've taken a traditional hatha inspired yoga class and pumped it up with magic, fun, flow and flare! Cosmic yoga classes are practiced under neon and black lights, creating a unique, playful and glowing atmosphere for you to enjoy as you find balance on your mat. Students are invited to come to class prepared to breath, stretch, smile, laugh and connect with others through this fun and creative approach to yoga! Come as you are or enhance the glowing experience by coming dressed in white and neon attire. Or get creative and bring your own glow stick necklaces, bracelets or any other glowing accessories suitable for yoga! Creative cosmic commotion... We LOVE it!




Yoga – Stress Buster

Ages: All Ages

Level: Beginners/All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Style:Drop-in


Description: In addition to the Hatha Yoga description above, the Stress Buster class is designed to be a little island of calm in the middle of your otherwise hectic day. This class will use elements of Restorative and Yin Yoga. Props will be utilized to assist in holding poses for longer periods of time. This style will encourage the body, mind and spirit to relax. Further, the atmosphere will promote relaxation with soft lighting and soothing music. This class is perfect for business professionals on their lunch break who want to be in and out within an hour; 50 minutes, no sweating, now go on and grab a smoothy on the way back to the office! Come stretch your way into your very own magical oasis...

 


Yoga – Sunrise

Ages: All Ages

Level: Beginners/All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Style:Drop-in


Description: In addition to the Hatha Yoga description above, the morning Sunrise class will start out gently and gradually work into a series of sun salutations. The concept behind this class is to wake up your body, mind and spirit. The class is designed to perk you up but not put you out; you will fire up your body, but not so much that you will likely need a shower afterwards. You will be able to head directly to work after being immersed in some morning bliss. The goal is to create an environment where you experience positivity and wholeness right off the bat with the hope that these feelings resonate throughout your entire day. Yoga, java, bliss? Perfect.

 



Yoga – Yin

Ages: All Ages

Level: Beginners/All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Style:Drop-in


Description: Yin yoga is a form of yoga which is performed to stretch the connective tissues of the body. Primary connective tissues include the hips, thighs and lower spinal area. These types of tissues do not stretch the muscles (as in the yang form of yoga which Western culture is more familiar with) but they stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas of the body. This type of Asana practice is beneficial to a wide variety of people. Although yin yoga is not as intense as other yang forms of yoga, its long duration when holding poses can be difficult for some people to maintain. The duration of some posture positions can last several minutes at a time. Yin is said to be great for those people seeking pain treatment and trauma recovery. This class has many benefits but some notable ones include lower stress levels, deeper relaxation and an increase in the flexibility of connective tissues and joints. Come strike a pose...
